Well i hear that train a-callin', a-callin' round the bend
I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
Well i'm stucked in Folsom Prison, time keeps draggin' on
And that train keeps a-rollin' down to San Antone.

When i was just a baby, my mamma told me son
Always be a good boy, don't fool around with guns
But i shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When i hear that whistle blowin', i hang my head and cry.

Well i bet there's rich folks eatin' in fancy dinin' cars
I bet they're drinkin' coffee and smokin' big cigars
But while i'm stuck in Folsom Prison, i know i can't be free
But those people keep a-movin' and that's what tortures me.

Well if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
You bet i move'd it on down a little further down the line
Far from Folsom Prison that's where i want to stay
Well i'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.

Are you rollin' ?

I hear that train a-rollin', it's a-rollin' round the bend
I ain't seen the sunshine since i don't know when
I'm stucked in Folsom Prison, time keeps draggin' on
An' i hear that whistle blowin' all down to San Antone.

When i was just a baby, my mamma told me son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns
But i shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When i hear that train a-blowin', i hang my head and cry.

Well i bet there's rich folks eatin' in their fancy shinin' cars
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smokin' big cigars
But i know i had it comin', i know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin', well that's what tortures me.

If they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
You bet i'd moved it on a little further down the line
Far from Folsom Prison that's where i long to stay
And i'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.
